In the News
The Fabric House has a unique concept and we are very proud of that! As you’d expect, we work hard to get ‘who we are’ out there; as far and as wide as possible. Below is where we have made the news; where we’ve made enough of an impact for someone to talk about who we are to their network. We’re always grateful when they do!

House and Garden did a beautiful feature in their February 2011 issue. The Fabric House featured in their ‘Insider’ section. Click Here to see us on page three. This is what they had to say about us:
“Buying fabric and looking for a bargain? Well then your prayers have been answered by the newest store to hit the Kramerville scene, The Fabric House. The brainchild of ex-banker Heather Lund-Truter, who noticed a gap in the market, the space stocks end-of-range remnants and cut-offs from top lines. Sold according to its weight or length, the fabrics are perfect for those seeking decor on a budget.”
Sandton Mag features the best in Jo’burg style, trends, living, debate and decor. Check out The Fabric House which is featured giving tips on trends in the industry.
i for one – is a dedicated and independent fashion and lifestyle blog created by freelance journalist, Justine Stafford, who decided that life was too short to spend it worrying about what effect the global recession would have on her lifestyle. Instead, she dedicated her (colour-coordinated) corner of cyberspace to all things bright and beautiful, and set out to try and document the state of the South African fashion nation, as it is, right now.
This is what i for one had to say about our Cape Town store:
‘For budget and style-savvy fabric shoppers, try Nigel Lardner-Burke’s new Fabric House – just across the street from The Palms on Woodstock Main Road for premium quality fabrics at ridiculously low prices.
The shop requires a bit of browsing, but fabrics are cleverly organised by colour and weave to help distract from the bargain-basement vibe. I’ve spotted top fashion and interior designers perusing the stacks of fab fabrics, so is def worth a visit’
