The Fabric House is an exciting, new concept store in Cape Town and Johannesburg which offers , quality furnishing base cloths, “hand-picked” short ends, remnants and end-of-roll soft furnishing fabrics (curtaining and upholstery) at prices that have never been enjoyed before in South Africa. Fabrics are sourced via local and international fabric houses and textile convertors.
The Fabric house concept is based on the current furnishing trend, whereby it is possible to select a quality base cloth in the colour and texture of your chouse, at the right price to suit your budget. This enables the clients to the select “Exquisite Cuts” of beautiful imported short ends as the cushiosn to compliment.
The Fabric House has researched the many fabrics available locally within a reasonable price range. The secret is to buy an affordable and perhaps local fabric as the base cloth and then use beautiful imported “gourmet” fabrics on the cushions and accessories. This concept allows the client a new selecting of cushions every year or two, or in fact the budget to change their colour scheme each season.
